Community Builder
Agape River reaches communities in many ways. One example of this is the RIPPLE Garden Project. The RIPPLE Garden Project reaches out to church and community groups in urban and rural areas to assist local communities in identifying at risk people groups in their immediate area. By teaching no-till, organic gardening methods and helping the community identify low or no cost resourcing for garden development supplies, RIPPLE instructs people in ways to be relevant within their own communities.
Becoming relevant means impacting changes in the community in real and practical ways. In this case, fresh, nutritious and organic food is grown in open space on the church property or vacant residential areas. Using good old fashioned organic gardening you can provide people with the food they need at little or no cost to the community. But it's not all about gardening. There many other community projects we've been involved in and we are always looking for ways to reach people who need help to grow and thrive.
